If you use Tradify and buy from Reece, read this to save money.

Yes, if someone does it. In Tradify you can create a bill, attach a supplier invoice to a job, and copy the purchased materials from that bill onto the job's costs, and Tradify's SmartRead can read a photo of the invoice into a bill for you. What that relies on is a tech uploading every docket and someone matching every line to the right job, every day. Our nightly check covers the ones that got missed: it reads the Reece email, checks every part against your Tradify jobs, and adds the missing ones.

The manual way is to photograph the docket into the job, or create a bill from the invoice and copy the materials onto the job. The automated way is what this page is about: every night the system takes the Reece purchases email, which already carries the job number for each part, checks each part is on that job in Tradify at the right quantity, and adds anything missing before the invoice goes out.

Yes. Tradify has a two-way sync with Xero (and with MYOB and QuickBooks), so invoices, bills and payments flow to your books. That is accounting-level. The gap this page is about is job-level: whether the part you bought at Reece is on the customer's job in Tradify so it ends up on their invoice. Xero can be perfectly reconciled while parts are still being given away.

It means you pay Reece correctly. It doesn't put the part on the customer's job. Reece maX to Xero (or MYOB) moves the supplier bill into your accounting software; the customer's invoice is built from what's on the job in Tradify. The nightly check is between the Reece email and the Tradify job, which is where the money goes missing.

Reece's maX platform integrates with a number of job management systems, and as at September 2026 Tradify isn't on the list published on Reece's integration partners page. Tradify does let you import a supplier price list, which is handy for quoting; the record of what you actually bought each day is the nightly Reece email, and that is what our check reads. It works with the Reece email you already receive and with your existing Tradify account, so there is nothing to change on either side.

Every night, Reece emails trade account customers a list of every part bought that day, with the job numbers quoted at the counter. It is the only complete daily record of what was bought and which job it was for, which is why our check reads it rather than anything else.

Usually one of three things: a part was bought and never put on any job (a tech forgot the invoice photo, or the office missed the email), the quantity on the job is lower than the quantity bought, or the same part ended up on a job twice. Those are the three checks the system runs every night, and each one shows up on the morning report with the job number.

It adds parts to the job they were bought for, using the job number from the Reece email, so the part is on the invoice before the invoice goes out. Everything it adds is listed in the morning report, so you see every change.
